Since 1997 the BEA Foundation acts as implementing agency for the Bureau of Economic Analysis Project (BEA Project), financed by the Russian Federation Government and from the IBRD Loan Proceeds.
The main purpose of the BEA Project is to establish in Russia an independent advisory and consultant institutional capacity to render consulting services to the RF Government as well as to federal governmental bodies in the field of economic policy analysis and recommendations on economic policy instruments for increasing national economy effectiveness.
To achieve this goal the Project includes the task of assignment of great number of Russian and foreign specialists representing different parts of professional community of experts in the field of economic analysis. For this purpose a special database has been developed and maintained. A great number of references for Russian and foreign experts in the field of economic policy are included into this database for the moment, more then 800 Russian and foreign experts were engaged for participation in the BEA analytical projects.
The list of main client agencies for the Bureau of Economic Analysis Project includes RF Ministry of Finance, RF Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, RF Ministry for Antimonopoly Policy (since May, 2004 - Federal Anti-monopoly Service, RF Ministry of Science and Technology, RF State Statistical Committee (since May, 2004 - Federal service for the State Statistics). In response to requests from federal governmental bodies on annual basis BEA conducts research projects in the following fields of economic analysis:

International economic relations.
More then 60 analytical reports were prepared for the Russian State Statistical Committee (since 2004 - Federal Service for the State Statistics/Rosstat). Annual survey of households is among the most interesting analytical projects conducted for the benefit of Rosstat with participation of 88 regional statistical bodies.
Within the BEA Project several training courses were organized and information technology equipment was purchased for the federal statistical body as well as for 88 regional statistical bodies.
More then 120 analytical reports, 29 published monograph as well as more then 200 quick-response analytical notes and 60 information and analytical bulletins were completed in the course of the BEA Project implementation.
