BEA Foundation and Rosstat will continue realisation of the World Bank project № 4468 on Development of the State Statistical System. In frame of the STASYS project it is supposed to elaborate the concept for the organisation of monitoring of performance indicators of budgetary planing units.

BEA Foundation signed a contract with the World Bank on providing services within the framework of International Comparison Program in CIS region. In August 2004 in accordance with the schedule works under the contract began in corpore.

BEA Foundation is pleased to inform you of an issue of Survey on Economic Policy in Russia in 2003. In the Survey there is a resume of Government activity for the period of 2000-2003. It offers results of examination of such issues as economic deregulation and reform of natural monopolies; analysis of economic policy in tax system, agricultural land market, pension reform and labour relations, and bank reform as well. It highlights issues of foreign policy, in particular, perspectives of entering Russia in the World Trade Organization.

BEA Foundation has issued a new study Antimonopoly Regulation of Vertical Restraints: Russian Experience in the International Perspective. It envisages antimonopoly regulation of vertical restraints above all between companies of big and small business.

The new BEA bulletin - a continuation of the previous one – contains analysis of activity of major domestic state and private scientific and innovation funds as well as foreign ones acting in Russia. In the bulletin were marked the most important problems the funds deal with; were given recommendations on development of the funds system.

A new BEA bulletin highlights current situation in industrial sector in Russia. Basing on statistical data for 2002-2004 characteristics of development and sectoral structure of industry are analyzed. It reviews demand factors (domestic as well as external) on industrial production and influence of price factor on proposal of industrial production. It sets appraisal of growth rate of industrial production and total investments volume to the fixed capital until 2004.
